Cub Scout Packs in Napa County

Cub Scouts are ages 5-10, or grades K-5

A cub scout pack is organized into dens - usually, one den per grade level. In each den, the scouts will work through a curriculum, organized into adventures, which gives kids immersive experiences learning life skills.

Most of your meetups will be with your den, but Packs also get together regularly. And those tend to be where the big events happen - things like Pinewood Derby and Bobby Crocker.

Pack 191

Napa
Browns Valley

Cub Scout Pack 191 was first chartered in the late 60's and we are currently chartered by Congregation Beth Shalom Napa Valley.

We meet at Browns Valley Elementary and recruit from the Browns Valley area of Napa.

We try to participate in every major scouting event and are a very active pack. We go on educational trips, hikes, campouts, and we especially love the pinewood derby!

Questions? Email Cubmaster Don MacFarlane.

Pack 196

Napa
Northwood

We are a Cub Scout Pack that is chartered through a Northwood Elementary PFC, that welcomes children grades K-5 from all schools.

Our pack has meetings once monthly through the year. Some of our activities include service projects in the community such as river clean up days and food collection, building model rockets and launching them, the pinewood derby where we race wooden cars that we build, and camping. We are very excited to be having an overnight trip to the Oakland Zoo this year.

Unless otherwise indicated, these are family activities and siblings are not only invited, but encouraged to participate. Email Cubmaster Mick Harvey.

Troop 2

Napa

Napa’s Troop 2 is chartered by the First United Methodist Church, where we have been meeting for over 100 years.

Our scouts come from many schools in the area including Redwood Middle School, Harvest Middle School, Saint Apollinaris Catholic School, Napa High School, Vintage High School, and New Tech High School.

Our troop enjoys outdoor activities and we have an outing just about every month. We go hiking, backpacking, camping, whitewater rafting, and spend a week each summer at camp. Annual trips include hiking and camping at Pinnacles National Park and backpacking at Point Reyes National Seashore.

We meet every Monday from 7:00-8:30 at the First United Methodist Church, downtown at 625 Randolph Street. If you’re interested in learning more, drop by a meeting or email Scoutmaster Jonathan Lamb.

Troop 516

Napa

Troop 516 is a Scouts BSA troop that was founded in 2014. We are located in the Browns Valley neighborhood on Napa's west side and meet on the first, third and fourth Thursday evening of each month, at 7pm.

The Napa Moose Lodge 516 is our chartering organization and the location of the weekly meetings. Our troop likes to get out and enjoy nature. This past summer we had scouts attend summer camp in the sierras, backpack trek for 12 days in New Mexico and had a few attend the World Scouting Jamboree.

We have scouts that come to the troop from almost every middle and high school in Napa. So, odds are good that you will know one of the scouts. For more information you can contact Scoutmaster Dean La Berge.
